China welcomes international students from around the world. China's universities have a variety of courses to meet the different demands of international students. However, some courses have strict academic requirements for admission. Outlined below are the possible routes for studying in China.

You can apply for non-degree Chinese language and culture courses and almost any of the undergraduate degree courses in China's universities. There are some Chinese courses where you would have to attend classes with Chinese students. The tuition fees for undergraduate courses taught in Chinese are usually 1500-4500 U.S. dollars a year.
You can choose to attend non-degree Chinese language courses, as well as English-medium Master's degree courses (tuition is about 4500 U.S. dollars to 8500 U.S. dollars per year).

Some of China's universities accept applicants with any education background for their Chinese language courses. You can also choose to learn Chinese at a language school. China's major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and other cities have special language schools to teach foreign students Chinese language and Chinese culture. These schools generally do not have educational level or age restrictions. If you are under 18 years old, you need to submit a letter of consent from your guardian.
